What DarkGrid Does

DarkGrid is a Safari extension that repaints any website in a true-black dark theme with a glowing neon accent color of your choice (cyan, red, green, purple, or a custom hex color). It works instantly, with no page reload required.

Getting Started (Mac)

  1. Open Safari → Settings → Extensions.
  2. Enable DarkGrid and grant it permission to run on websites you visit.
  3. Click the DarkGrid icon in the Safari toolbar to open the control panel.
  4. Toggle the theme on and pick your accent color — it applies instantly.

Getting Started (iPhone / iPad)

  1. Open Settings → Safari → Extensions.
  2. Enable DarkGrid.
  3. In Safari, tap the aA menu in the address bar, then tap DarkGrid to open its controls.

Troubleshooting

The theme isn't applying on a page. Some sites load content dynamically or use styles that resist theming. Try toggling DarkGrid off and on again from the popup, or reload the page. If a specific site is consistently broken, email us the URL and we'll take a look.

I don't see the DarkGrid icon in Safari. Make sure the extension is enabled in Safari → Settings → Extensions (Mac) or Settings → Safari → Extensions (iOS), and that it has permission to run on the site you're viewing.

My settings reset. Settings are stored locally on your device. Reinstalling the extension or clearing Safari's extension data will reset them to defaults.

Privacy

DarkGrid collects no data of any kind — see the full Privacy Policy for details.
